Assam floods: Army jawans turn saviours for baby, Himanta Sarma takes stock

Assam continues to remain inundated by massive floods caused by incessant rainfall. More than 130 people have died so far and over 22 lakh people living in nearly 3000 villages have been affected. Army, IAF, NDRF, and SDRF have been carrying out relief & rescue operations in flood-affected areas. Assam Rifles jawans have rescued a 6-day-old infant from flood-affected Silchar. The baby's parents have expressed gratitude towards the soldiers and said that they wished that their child will join Army in the future. CM Himanta Biswa Sarma also visited flood-affected areas to take stock of the situation. Watch this report to know more.
