Ayodhya gears up for Diwali, preparations in full swing ahead of Deepotsav

- Preparations are in full swing for the grand 'Deepotsav' at Ayodhya's Ram ki Paidi ghats. Deepotsav or the festival of lamps is organised in Ayodhya every year by the UP govt. Additional Chief Secy said a total of 12 lakh lamps will be illuminated to celebrate Deepotsav. Union Minister G Kishan Reddy will attend the event in Ramkatha Park as the chief guest. UP CM Yogi Adityanath, Dy CM Dinesh Sharma & other officials will also pay their visit. “Deepotsav in Ayodhya became an important event of the nation & the world. This year in Ayodhya, as many as 9 lakh diyas will be lit. This 9 lakh represents houses where people started residing, under PM Awas Yojana. So far, we have provided houses to 43 lakh people under Rural & Urban schemes. I urge everyone who can to come forward & help others to celebrate Diwali,” CM Adityanath said. A 3D holographic projection mapping, a laser show based on Ramayana will also be organised. Further, fireworks & laser shows will be organised from Naya Ghat in Ayodhya.
