Ghulam Nabi Azad lashes out Kashmiri netas over 'fake' promises on Art 370

• Former Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad said that he will not mislead people over the issue of Article 370 as only a government with a two-thirds majority in Parliament can ensure the restoration of the provision. He was addressing a rally in Kashmir when he made the statement ahead of launching his own political party. He said neither Congress nor any of the three major regional parties can promise to bring back J&K's special status. Azad's remarks came on the day former J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said he will continue to fight for the restoration of Art 370. Hitting out at the central govt, Omar said that only assembly elections in J&K can bring an end to 'uncertainty' in the region.
