Govt, opposition agree to discuss farmers’ protest for 15 hours in Rajya Sabha

- The government and the opposition have agreed to discuss the farmers’ protest in the Rajya Sabha for 15 hours. Pralhad Joshi, the Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, made the announcement after agreeing to the opposition's demand. Congress leader and leader of opposition in the upper house, Ghulam Nabi Azad said that they are ready for a discussion as the government has accepted their proposal. This comes after a fiery day on Tuesday where the opposition parties even walked out from the house over the government’s refusal to have immediate discussions on the farmers’ issue.
