- The dispute between Kashi Vishwanath temple and Gyanvapi mosque in Uttar Pradesh's Varanasi has taken a political turn. Just hours before a local court ordered that the video survey of the mosque premises will continue and demanded that it be finished by May 17, BJP and Shiv Sena locked horns over the issue. Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut lashed BJP for using the issue for political gains. Meanwhile, BJP leader Kapil Mishra backed the survey and demanded that the truth be revealed. The local court's order came as a setback for the mosque management committee that had demanded that the head of the survey be changed. The court said that it won't replace the government appointed advocate commissioner but ordered the appointment of 2 more lawyers to assist his team. Watch this video for more details.
