Delhi airport T3 waterlogged as heavy rain lash Delhi; Orange Alert for Capital

- Several areas, including the Delhi airport, were waterlogged following heavy showers. Videos doing rounds on social media show aircraft on ground at the partially flooded airport. The bad weather has affected operations at IGI airport & disrupted traffic around the city. Airlines including IndiGo, SpiceJet said departures & arrivals of their flights may get affected. An official said four domestic, one international flights were diverted from Delhi to Jaipur & Ahmedabad. Delhi has been receiving rain since Friday, causing waterlogging in many parts of the city. IMD predicted 'heavy to very heavy rain/thundershowers at isolated places towards night’. On Friday, the weather department issued an orange alert for the national capital. PWD said it has deployed personnel on the ground to pump out water from the streets. Delhi Traffic Police informed people about waterlogged stretches & advised them to avoid.
