Indian Navy deploys warship in South America, joins Brazil in naval exercise

• For the first time in last 20 years, Indian Navy deployed its warship in South America. The Navy warship INS Tarkash participated in an exercise with Brazilian Naval Ship ‘Uniao’. During the exercise, the two ships conducted multifaceted operations like cross-deck landing & replenishment at sea. The Indian Navy said that the exercise helped in enhancing interoperability between the two navies and strengthened existing maritime and diplomatic ties between the two nations.
