India's request may help Sri Lanka secure IMF rapid aid I Nirmala in Washington

- The International Monetary Fund Chief Kristalina Georgieva has appreciated India for helping its neighbou Sri Lanka amid economic crisis. The remarks came after the IMF chief met Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman during the Spring Meetings of IMF-World Bank in Washington DC. Nirmala has also met Sri Lankan Finance Minister Ali Sabry and assured him of all possible help and cooperation. India has so far extended financial assistance worth more than $1.5 billion including two lines of credit for purchasing fuel, food and medicines. Watch this video to know more.
