An 83-year-old former Intelligence Bureau (IB) officer was killed in Mysuru in an alleged road accident. RS Kulkarni, a retired IB officer, was mowed down while he was taking an evening walk. He was hit by a speeding car near the CS department in Gangotri, on the campus of Mysuru University. He was rushed to a hospital, where he died during treatment. Initially, the Mysore police’s probe angle focused on hit-and-run, but later suspicion grew as CCTV footage hinted towards a planned murder.
