K'taka: Savarkar Vs Tipu poster clash triggers tensions; Section 144 imposed

- Karnataka's Shivamogga tense after Savarkar Vs Tipu Sultan poster clash on Independence Day. The Karnataka police has imposed prohibitory orders under section 144 in the district. The clash erupted between two groups when some Muslim youth objected to banners featuring Savarkar and replaced it with Tipu Sultan posters. Right wing groups also staged protests after the clashes over Savarkar poster. Two youths were even stabbed amid tensions in the city. Police have now imposed prohibitory orders, banning all gatherings in the city. CM Bommai has directed the state Home Minister to rush to the tense Shivamogga. Watch this report for more details.
