Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's tweet welcoming Prime Minister to the state capital has sparked off speculations that the BJP regime may change the name of Lucknow in the near future. A debate has started on the social media about the speculation on the possibility of changing the name of Lucknow to Laxmanpuri. Officials, however, said that they was no proposal to rename Lucknow.
