‘Mamata offered to go to Kandahar as hostage’: Yashwant Sinha shares anecdote

- Yashwant Sinha joined the Trinamool Congress in the presence of senior party leaders Derek O Brien, Sudip Bandopadhyay and Subrata Mukherjee. While speaking after the formal joining, Sinha shared an anecdote about the Kandahar flight hijack case. ‘At the time of the Kandahar plane highjack incident, Mamataji proposed to the cabinet that she was ready to be a hostage so others are freed. She was ready to give her life for the country, ‘ Sinha said. He further urged voters to vote for the Trinamool Congress and send a message to the government at the Centre.
