Mortal remains of Kerala woman killed in rocket attack in Israel arrive in India

  • Mortal remains of Soumya Santhosh, killed in Israel, reached New Delhi on Saturday. The woman from Kerala was killed in a rocket attack in the Israeli city of Ashkelon. MoS V Muraleedharan & Israeli Depuy envoy Rony Yedidia Clein paid their last respect. On Friday, Muraleedharan had said that mortal remains of Soumya will reach her native place on Saturday. Soumya was among those killed in rocket attack by a Palestinian Islamist group on Tuesday. The 30-year-old Indian woman hailed from Idukki district in Kerala. Soumya was working as a caretaker to an elderly woman at a house in the Ashkelon. According to her family, Soumya was living in Israel for the last seven years. Soumya is survived by her husband and a nine-year-old son who stay in Kerala.
