- Former Union Minister PR Kumaramangalam's wife was allegedly murdered on Tuesday. Police said Kitty was killed by three suspects at her residence in Delhi's Vasant Vihar. Police said the incident occurred when Kitty's domestic help opened the door for their washerman. Police informed that the accused smothered the former minister's wife using a pillow. Police have nabbed washerman Raju, 24, from his residence in Bhanwar Singh Camp. Police said it was a friendly entry to the house as the washerman was known to the family. Police further added that the domestic help somehow untied herself & raised an alarm. 67-year-old Kitty had served as Supreme Court lawyer & her husband was first elected to Lok Sabha in 1984. PR Kumaramangalam, who died in 2000, had served as Union MoS between 1991 & 92. He was Parliamentary Affairs Minister between 1992-93 & India's Power Minister in 1998.
