‘My heart aches’: Biden on desperate Afghans crowding Kabul airport to escape

US President Joe Biden hopes to complete the evacuation from Afghanistan by end of the month. Biden, however, left the doors open to extending the deadline if necessary. Speaking in the White House, he said his "hope is we will not have to extend." Biden acknowledged the harrowing scenes of Afghans crowding Kabul airport in desperation to escape the Taliban. "There is no way to evacuate this many people without pain and loss and heartbreaking images you see," he said. In an effort to ramp up the airlift, the US government ordered six airlines, American Airlines, Atlas, Delta, Omni, Hawaiian and United, to provide 18 passenger planes. Watch the full video for more.
