The Ukraine war is about to last a year, but the tanks have not stopped firing. With the conflict getting stretched, there is a continuous rise in the pro-Putin chorus. According to Phillips, "Russian President Vladimir Putin informed the United States of his plan to attack Ukraine long before the first shot was fired, but the United States failed to take advantage of the many options available to it."Phillips is not alone; Ukraine's exiled opposition leader Viktor Medvedchuk too has lashed out at the West for "seeing Ukraine as a cold war prize."
