Rahul To Directly Take On PM Modi In Lok Sabha, Congress Leader Gets LoP Post; Here’s Why It Matters

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has been appointed as the Leader of Opposition (LoP) in Lok Sabha, party’s general secretary KC Venugopal told reporters on June 25. The appointment of Rahul Gandhi to the role comes ahead of elections for the Lok Sabha speaker’s post on June 26. Congress had failed to get the LoP post in both 2014 and 2019 as it requires winning at least 10 percent of the Lok Sabha seats.
