SC blocks action against Alt News' Zubair in UP FIRs; 'This is a vicious cycle'

- Fact-checker Mohammed Zubair got another bit of temporary relief from the Supreme Court. The top court has blocked any precipitative action in relation to any of the five FIRs filed against him in Uttar Pradesh till July 20. While hearing Zubair's plea seeking quashing of these FIRs, the Supreme Court noticed a "vicious cycle" in his case. The order was passed by the bench of Justices D Y Chandrachud and A S Bopanna after the matter was taken up for hearing upon being mentioned by advocate Vrinda Grover, who represented Zubair. The SC has fixed the date for hearing Zubair's case in detail on July 20. Watch this report to know more.
