Sexual assault accused kills survivor’s father in UP’s Hathras

A man accused of sexual assault killed the survivor's father in Uttar Pradesh’s Hathras. The incident took place in Nojalpur village on March 1 at around 4 pm. Out on bail, the man was jailed briefly in 2018 in a molestation case. Daughter of the deceased was seen crying outside the police station demanding justice. “First, he molested me and now he has shot my father. He had come to our village. There were six-seven people. My father was getting potatoes harvested when he was shot,” she said. Out of the four accused, one has been arrested and search operation has been launched for the rest. “On March 1, at around 4 pm, information was received at Sasni police station that in Nojalpur village, a man named Amrish Sharma had been shot by Gaurav Sharma and his friends. Amrish died on his way to the hospital," said Vineet Jaiswal, Superintendent of Police (SP) Hathras. Watch the full video for more.
