South Korean officials admitted responsibility and have apologized for 'failures' in preventing the tragic stampede on Halloween. Over 150 people have died and dozens of the 151 injured are in severe condition. The government is facing growing public scrutiny as citizens have demanded justice for alleged negligence. The national police chief admitted that many urgent calls from citizens were made notifying authorities about the potential danger in Itaewon.
