Tarun Tejpal acquitted in 2013 rape case; releases statement thanking court

- A Sessions Court in Goa acquitted founder and former Editor-in-Chief of Tehelka Magazine Tarun Tejpal of all charges in the alleged sexual assault case. Tejpal had been accused of sexual harassment by a junior colleague in a luxury hotel in Goa in 2013. He was arrested on November 30 in 2013 but has been on bail since 2014. Tejpal released a statement after his acquittal thanking the courts for the verdict. He also said that the past 7 & a half years have been very traumatic for himself and his family.
