Parts of Kashmir, Ladakh received fresh snowfall leading to early onset of winter-like conditions. According to officials, plains of the valley were meanwhile lashed by heavy rains. Officials said moderate snowfall was witnessed in Gulmarg, Sonamarg, Pahalgam, Shopian, Gurez. Officials added that Ladakh's Minamarg & Drass also witnessed snowfall since Friday night. Light snowfall has also been reported from some areas in Pulwama & Kulgam districts. Heavy rainfall has been going on in Srinagar & other plains of the valley since Friday night. Power dept's timely trimming of tree branches resulted in minimal disruption of electricity supply. The weatherman has forecast wet weather in the region for the next 24 hours.
