• The Modi government has announced a three-tier mechanism for OTT & digital media platforms. Announcing the policy, I&B Minister Prakash Javadekar said that they have fought for the freedom of the press during the emergency but added that all freedom must come with restrictions. The Minister said that there has to be some self-regulations and the body should be headed by a retired Supreme Court or High Court judge.
