Watch: India-Russia troops hold joint training exercise INDRA 2021

• India-Russia joint training exercise Indra 2021 commenced in Russia’s Volgograd. The opening ceremony witnessed the unfurling of the national flags of both countries. The aim of the exercise is to facilitate joint training between Indian & Russian armies. It will also entail academic discussions between expert groups of both contingents. The exercise is to focus on unit-level joint planning and conduct of anti-terrorist operations. It will also include cordon and search operations, intelligence gathering and sharing. The exercise is to enable sharing of best practices between the armed forces, a release said. A landmark event in the history of India-Russian defence cooperation, release added.
