Watch: Mizoram Minister announces 1 lakh reward for parent with most children

Mizoram’s sports minister Robert Romawia Royte announced a unique scheme on Sunday. In a statement given to a news agency, Royte announced a Rs. 1 lakh cash reward for a living parent with highest number of children in Aizawl East-2 constituency. Royte represents Aizawl East-2. In contrast, Mizoram’s neighbouring state Assam announced that it will gradually implement a two-child policy that will restrict people with more than two children from availing benefits of some state-run schemes.
