₹150 crore was recovered so far at a UP businessman’s home in a tax raid, said I-T department sources. Raids were conducted at premises linked to Kanpur’s Piyush Jain from the perfume industry. Officials brought in 80 tin boxes and 100 containers with locks during the raid. Officials have so far brought in eight currency counting machines to count the cash. Piyush Jain’s son, Pratyush Jain, has been taken into custody by the DGCI officials. The bundles of cash wrapped in plastic covers were stuffed into two large wardrobes. I-T and GST officials and DGCI officials were seen surrounded by piles of cash and currency counting machines. Watch the full video for more.
