‘Why’s fuel price in Ram’s India higher than in Sita’s Nepal?’ Minister answers

The issue of rising fuel prices was discussed at the Rajya Sabha with the opposition cornering the government. Congress MP KC Venugopal said that the government has increased the excise duty on petrol and diesel and that has led to a spike in prices. Responding to the question, Union Minister for Petroleum & Natural Gas said that the price of international crude is $61. Pradhan added that states and the Union government are both responsible and the issue needs to be handled with care. He went on to say that the government of India has also reduced the excise duty in the past few years. Samajwadi Party MP Vishambhar Prasad Nishad questioned the Minister why price of fuel was higher in Ram’s India than Sita’s Nepal. Watch the full video or all the details.
