Putin firebrand's bold warning? Russia urges Trump, Israel's closest Arab ally to support Iran talks

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov held a phone call with UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan on May 8, with the two sides focusing on the Strait of Hormuz crisis and the diplomatic path forward. Russia’s foreign ministry said Lavrov stressed that efforts should center on supporting the ongoing U.S.-Iran negotiations and warned that the prospects for stabilization must not be jeopardized by any renewed hostilities.
