Russian President Vladimir Putin signed legislation to annex 4 territories of Ukraine. Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson & Zaporizhzhia legally 'accepted into the Russian Federation'. Govt documents cited decision 'in accordance with constitution' of Russian Federation. Apart from bills to annex four Ukraine regions, Putin also signed crucial decrees. Moscow-backed heads of the annexed Ukrainian regions were appointed as acting leaders. The legislation was unanimously supported by both chambers of the Russian parliament. Last Friday, Vladimir Putin hosted Kremlin treaty ceremony annexing parts of Ukraine. The annexed areas create a key land corridor between Russia & the Crimean peninsula. In 2014, when Russian attempts to keep Ukraine in its orbit failed, Putin annexed Crimea. Crimea + Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson & Zaporizhzhia regions make up around 20% of Ukraine. However, Russian Forces do not have complete control over Kherson or Zaporizhzhia.
