Azhar blames team selection for early World Cup exit

Former Indian cricket captain Mohammad Azharuddin on Wednesday blamed team selectors for India's early elimination in the World Cup. Runners-up in the last edition, India was eliminated in the first round of the event itself in the Caribbean last week after losing two out of three group matches, to Bangladesh and former champions Sri Lanka. Azharuddin added blaming the coach was pointless because victory depends on the players' performances.
