Alan Peacock, an anti-corruption and security official of the International Cricket Council (ICC), interrogated Bollywood starlet Nupur Mehta in Mumbai over allegations of her involvement in match-fixing. Mehta said that after her meeting with Peacock, the latter had appeared convinced of her not being involved. A British newspaper, the Sunday Times, had reported in March that Indian bookmakers, with the help of a Bollywood actress had been fixing the results of English County Championship matches and international games.
