The Taliban in yet another move has pushed women in Afghanistan into dark age. Bringing back their diktat from their first stint which lasted nearly 20 years ago, Taliban chief has passed a decree asking women to wear face covering Burqa in public. Afghanistan's Ministry for Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice, which released the new order, announced a slew of punishments if the dress code is not followed. It said a woman's father or male guardian would be summoned and could even be imprisoned if the offence was committed repeatedly. This is the latest diktat in a bid to curb 'freedom of women' in Afghanistan after Taliban stopped issuing fresh driving licence to women. Watch this video for more details.
