Donald Trump joked about renaming the Kennedy Center the “Trump-Kennedy Center” as he spotted FIFA president Gianni Infantino in the audience during the DRC–Rwanda deal ceremony. Trump boasted that the United States had already sold more World Cup tickets than any other host nation “at this stage,” claiming records had been broken before the tournament even approached. Noticing Infantino, he quipped that Friday’s World Cup draw would be held at the “Trump-Kennedy Centre,” before mock-correcting himself to “the Kennedy Centre.”
