Ukraine just diversion, West planning war on Russia from Arctic? Putin's navy chief's big warning
Published on Dec 10, 2025 10:53 am IST
Russian Navy Commander in Chief Aleksandr Moiseyev warned that the Arctic is becoming an emerging hot spot as tensions between Russia and NATO intensify. Speaking at the Arctic: Present and Future forum in Saint Petersburg, he said the regional situation is worsening, with Western rhetoric increasingly framing the Arctic as a potential conflict zone. Moiseyev accused NATO of obstructing Russia’s activities, militarising the region, and preparing for offensive operations, citing Finland and Sweden’s NATO accession as a move that expands the US military footprint near Russia’s borders. He pointed to rising alliance drills, reconnaissance flights, and troop deployments, adding that Russia is taking measures to prevent the use of force against it.
