Russian oil is still flowing to India, despite new, tighter sanctions on Moscow’s crude exports. Three tankers with Russian Sokol-grade oil arrived at Indian ports, Bloomberg reported on April 1. India’s crude imports from Russia have also risen in March by seven percent when compared to the previous month of February. Russia has emerged as India’s biggest crude supplier after the Ukraine war. New Delhi has remained firm on buying Russian oil despite western pressure.
