'Mafia tag on SP': Is Akhilesh using Gangster Ansari's son to clear party name?

• Akhilesh Yadav-led Samajwadi Party's ally Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party has fielded 29-year-old, eldest son of gangster turned politician Mukhtar Ansari's son - Abbas from the Mau Assembly constituency. In a last minute development, Abbas Ansari filed his nomination papers from Mau which has been a stronghold of Mukhtar Ansari since 1996. People in Mau believe that Abbas will be able to transform their lives after the elections and have rallied strongly behind him. With this move, Akhilesh Yadav hopes that the BJP campaign against him, terming his party a mafia party, will be hit if Abbas Ansari wins the assembly elections from Mau.
