Brazil’s ex president Dilma expresses support for embattled Lula

Former Brazilian president Dilma Rousseff said on Monday it would be “unthinkable” to accept a court ruling upholding a decision to reject Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva's appeal of his conviction on corruption charges. The decision brings Da Silva one step closer to being barred from the presidential ballot and put behind bars. Despite his legal woes, da Silva is leading polls for the October presidential election, and he is currently traveling through Brazil's south to rally his supporters.
