El Salvador makes Bitcoin legal tender. Where does India stand on crypto?

- Central American country El Salvador announced the use of Bitcoin as legal tender and became the world’s first country to do so. While volatility and the absence of tangible evidence fuel skepticism across the world, this might emerge as Cryptocurrency’s biggest test. Indian govt had called for a ban on cryptocurrency in January 2021 but has been silent since then. Reports suggest that the government is drafting a bill to regularise cryptocurrency in the country.
