A teenager visiting her mother in Canada was detained for two weeks in the United States after she accidentally crossed over US border while jogging. Nineteen-year-old Cedella Roman strayed over the border in British Columbia and into the US state of Washington on May 21. Despite pleading innocence, she was apprehended by two US border officials since she wasn't carrying identity papers and taken to a detention centre 200 km away. She spent the next two weeks in a large room with 100 “migrants” and 60 beds before being released.
