A group of intrepid swimmers in Santa's hats on Tuesday braved freezing temperatures as they took a dip in Berlin's Oranke lake to welcome Christmas day. Water temperatures of 4 degrees Celcius did not stop the Berlin Sealions Club from their annual polar plunge.
“No matter if the sun's shining, or if it's raining or snowing, or whether we have ice here - it doesn't matter to us, we go into the water anyway,” said Berlin Sealions Club member Boris Paunov.
