Local level polls were held in Hong Kong on November 25. The residents of Hong Kong voted for district councils. The elections came after months of fierce and chaotic protests. Hong Kong Chief Executive, Carrie Lam commented on the polls and informed that organising the polls had been a challenge. She said, “We are facing an extremely challenging situation in organising this year's elections, but I am pleased to say that with the concerted efforts of all parties, including of course over 30,000 civil servants in many departments working today, we should have a relatively peaceful and calm environment to conduct these elections successfully.”
