Iran's Revolutionary Guard said on Thursday it shot down a US spy drone over its territory. Iran claims the drone had violated Iranian airspace and was shot down in the country's southern coastal province of Hormozgan. The incident comes at a time of heightening tensions between Iran and the United States. Earlier, the US had accused Iran of attacking oil tankers in highly sensitive Gulf waters. Iran had denied any involvement in the attacks.
