Iran has given a green light to its Lebanon-based proxy militant group Hezbollah to escalate its attacks along Israel's northern border amid fears that the IDF will target south Lebanon next after the Rafah invasion. The Arabic post was reported on February 28, citing high-level Iranian and Lebanese sources. However, Tehran told Hezbollah to attack only after becoming certain of Israel's intention. The report also suggested that Iran's Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) Quds Force commander Esmail Qaani met Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah on February 26 to discuss Israel's possible attack.
