Rock balancing | The ephemeral art
Updated on Sept 30, 2016 05:21 pm IST
Japanese artist, Kokei Mikuni, has filmed himself creating a rock balancing piece in order to capture the unstable art in an enduring video. Rock balancing is an art in which natural stones are stacked on top of one another in a perfect balance. However, balanced rock creations are very fragile and temporary so Mikuni decided to start filming his works to transform them in “eternal portraits” that people can appreciate this art. On his Instagram page, people can appreciate photos and videos showing Mikuni in action.
