Rushdie attacker Hadi Matar stabbed him 15 times; Backed pro-Iran forces

- The attacker of Salman Rushdie has been identified as 24-year-old Hadi Matar, a resident of New Jersey. According to the New York Police, Hadi Matar had a pass to attend the event. He also identified himself as of Lebanese origin at the event. He stabbed the author multiple times including on his neck and abdomen. The attacker is also found to be a supporter of the fundamentalist forces of Iran. Remember, it was Iran's revolutionary leader Ayatollah Khameini who issued a death fatwa against Rushdie in 1989 over his book 'The Satanic Verses'.
