Russia and Belarus have started their joint air force drills from January 16. The mega air exercise has triggered fears in Kyiv and the West that Moscow could use its ally to launch a new ground offensive in Ukraine. Minsk has called the drills with Russia "defensive." However, Kyiv seems to be rattled by the latest Russia-Belarus military exercise. Ukraine has continuously warned of possible attacks from Belarus.
