Siberian tiger swipes drone from the sky
A video from China earlier this month shows Siberian tigers chasing after a drone camera before bringing it to the ground. The tigers are seen chasing the drone through the snow, before one pounces on it in flight. China's state broadcaster, CCTV, reported that local media had been using the drone to film the tigers in Northeast Tiger Forest Park in Harbin City. But the drone video sparked questions about the state-run park, which has previously been the subject of news investigations. The Washington Post and McClathy DC previously investigated the park, respectively noting that it was involved in the trade of tiger parts and maintained poor habitats for the tigers. The Siberian tiger is considered an endangered species on the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)'s Red List.
