Ahead of a men’s test match with Australian cricket team, Taliban’s Deputy Head of Cultural Commission said that women of Afghanistan will not be allowed to play sports. Ahmadullah Wasiq said that Islam and the Islamic Emirate do not allow women to play cricket, or play the kinds of sports where they get exposed. Wasiq also added that girls do not need sport. After Taliban’s decision, Cricket Australia threatened to cancel the test match with the men’s cricket team of Afghanistan scheduled to take place in November. Watch the full video for more details.
