Terror, sanctions, ISIS: First U.S, Taliban meeting in Doha after Afghan exit

For the first time after its exit from Afghanistan, United States held a meeting with Taliban officials in Qatar to discuss a wide range of issues including evacuations and terrorism. The meeting was held in Doha and was led by Taliban foreign minister and CIA deputy director. While Taliban side focused on lifting of economic sanctions, humanitarian assistance and Afghan sovereignty, United States took up the matters pertaining to evacuation of foreign and Afghan citizens and terrorism.
