TikTok plans to keep US users’ data from Beijing; ‘No info shared with China’

- Chinese video-sharing app TikTok has denied sharing Americans' data with the Chinese govt. TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chew has responded to nine US Senators who claimed that TikTok is leaking Americans' data to China. TikTok's CEO has said that some Chinese do have limited access to Americans' data but no information is shared with the Chinese govt. In a bid to assuage data leak concerns, TikTok had in June announced that 100% of US user data will be stored in the US vis Oracle. Republican Senator Marsha Blackburn has slammed TikTok's CEO saying that our fears about CCP's influence on the company are well founded. Watch this video to know more.
